Community Outreach Year-End Update 2023

KraneShares sponsors local nonprofits and encourages employees to give back through volunteering. In 2023 we volunteered and partnered with six nonprofit organizations.

April

Earth Day Community Service with Trees New York

In honor and support of Earth Day, KraneShares volunteered with Trees New York. Employees planted flowers and tended to tree bed clean up in East Harlem, helping to support Trees New York's mission to plant, preserve, and protect New York City’s urban forest through education and community participation.

June

Food Drive with City Harvest Food Drive

KraneShares held a food drive in partnership with City Harvest to provide meals to kids and families. City Harvest is dedicated to positively impacting the New York community by rescuing surplus food and delivering it to New Yorkers facing food insecurity.

August – September

Book Drive with Project Cicero

We partnered with Project Cicero, a non-profit dedicated to supporting under-resourced New York City public schools. We collaborated with our employees to host a book drive and collected over a hundred gently used and new books. Project Cicero redistributed the books to NYC public school teachers. Their goal is to provide teachers with a valuable resource to enhance learning environments in as many NYC schools as possible.

November – December

Coat Drive with New York Cares & HandsOn London

Our New York City office collaborated with New York Cares, a nonprofit organization, to give back for the holidays by organizing a coat drive. New York Cares ensures that donated and new coats are distributed to New Yorkers who need them as quickly as possible. Their Community Partners include nonprofit social service agencies, public schools, religious institutions, and transitional housing shelters—all of which serve some of our city's most vulnerable populations.

Meanwhile, in our London office, we arranged a coat drive, where pre-loved coats were donated and dropped off at multiple collection points across the city. This initiative was part of HandsOn London's annual coat drive called WrapUp London, which has evolved into one of the largest winter volunteering events in the city. It exemplifies the impactful outcomes achievable when a community comes together to assist those in need.
