Community Outreach Year-End Update 2022

KraneShares sponsors local nonprofits and encourages employees to give back through volunteering. In 2022 we volunteered and partnered with seven nonprofit organizations.

April

Earth Day Community Service with Trees New York

In honor and support of Earth Day, KraneShares volunteered with Trees New York. Employees planted flowers and tended to tree bed clean up in East Harlem, helping to support Trees New York's mission to plant, preserve, and protect New York City’s urban forest through education and community participation.

Food Drive with City Harvest Food Drive

KraneShares held a food drive in partnership with City Harvest to provide meals to kids and families. City Harvest is dedicated to positively impacting the New York community by rescuing surplus food and delivering it to New Yorkers facing food insecurity.

Soccer Sponsorship with America SCORES New York

America SCORES New York seeks to create equitable opportunities for young people to experience sports, express themselves, and inspire positive change off the field and outside the classroom. Using a social justice youth development framework, they emphasize racial equity, fair play, teamwork, and youth voice as key drivers of building a better, more equitable New York City. As part of our community outreach mission, we sponsored a team.

Clothing Drive with Bottomless Closet

KraneShares partnered with Bottomless Closet, a non-profit organization that aims to help disadvantaged women in New York City enter the workforce and achieve success. We held a clothing drive to provide women in need with work-appropriate clothing, flat shoes, and bags.

Cycling Event with Wall Street Rides FAR for Autism Research

Wall Street Rides FAR is a family-friendly day where the Wall Street, Fintech, and crypto communities come together to ride or walk to support the innovative, life-changing research being done by Autism Science Foundation-funded scientists.

Coat Drive with New York Cares

KraneShares partnered with New York Cares, a nonprofit organization, to give back for the holidays by hosting a coat drive. New York Cares makes sure donated and new coats are distributed to New Yorkers who need them as quickly as possible. Their Community Partners include nonprofit social service agencies, public schools, religious institutions, and transitional housing shelters—all of which serve some of our city's most vulnerable populations.

High School Mentorship with iMentor

KraneShares partners with iMentor NYC to mentor high school students. KraneShares employees in the iMentor program serve as personal champions to low-income students and help guide them through the college application process.
