Anthony Sassine joined KraneShares in 2019 as a Director, Senior Investment Strategist. Anthony is responsible for researching China’s capital markets and innovation sectors, including clean technology and future mobility, and advising clients on asset allocation, thematic investing, and co-managing ETF model portfolios.

Anthony also manages the firm’s business in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). He oversees the firm’s local effort to expand relationships and partnerships, maintain media relationships, and provide clients with the latest analysis on market development.

Anthony is a frequent contributor to various U.S. and international media outlets, including Bloomberg, Asharq, and Cheddar News, and has been quoted by Reuters, Bloomberg, and Forbes.

Before joining KraneShares, Anthony spent eight years at Van Eck and Pinebridge as a strategist focusing on China and Emerging Markets. Anthony began his career in investment consulting with NEPC (formerly New England Pension Consultants) and Colonial Consulting. During this time, Anthony partnered with consultants on servicing institutional clients and assisting with asset allocation, manager selection, and portfolio analysis.

Anthony holds a master’s degree in Finance from New York University (NYU) and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Anthony is a CFA charter holder.
