NEW YORK, NY, August 15, 2023 -- Krane Funds Advisors, LLC ("KraneShares"), an asset management firm known for its China-focused exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and innovative investment strategies, announced the KraneShares China Internet & Covered Call Strategy ETF (ticker: KLIP) paid its sixth full-month distribution on 7/31/2023.

KLIP can achieve attractive monthly distributions by selling call options on the KraneShares CSI China Internet ETF (ticker: KWEB), an established ETF with a deep options market. Writing calls may produce higher yields during periods of market volatility. KWEB invests in China's internet sector, which has historically been more volatile than other major equity indexes like the S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 index.1

"KLIP's sixth full-month distribution in July builds on its growing track record of providing meaningful current income distributed monthly," said Jonathan Shelon, KraneShares Chief Operating Officer. "As momentum returns to the China internet sector, investors can combine allocations to both KLIP and KWEB to produce a targeted strategy that can provide both growth and income."

KLIP is proving to be popular with investors. The fund has attracted $67 million in assets since its inception on 1/12/2023.2 KLIP's growth is part of a larger trend as options-based ETFs accounted for $45 billion in assets as of the end of 2022, up from just under $5 billion in 2019.3
