Singles Day and the China E-Commerce Opportunity

  • Singles Day is the largest online shopping event in the world, with sales reaching US$5.8 billion in 2013, US$9.3 billion in 2014, and US$14.3 billion in 2015 according to Alizila.com.
  • In 2015, China’s Singles Day generated nearly double the revenue of Cyber Monday ($3.07 billion), Black Friday ($2.74 billion), and Thanksgiving Day ($1.73 billion) combined, according to Practical E-Commerce.
  • Singles Day is expanding globally, yet many investors outside of China know little about the Chinese online shopping holiday and how it is redefining online sales.

Join KraneShares' investment professionals, Brendan Ahern, Chief Investment Officer, and Xiaolin Chen, Global Head of Investment Solutions & Strategies, as they discuss: Singles Day, China's growing E-Commerce market, and how KWEB can potentially benefit from these trends.
