KraneShares Launches KWIN: An Alternative Income Index ETF With Wahed Invest LLC

New York, NY – November 5, 2025 – Krane Funds Advisors, LLC (“KraneShares”) today announced the launch of the KraneShares Wahed Alternative Income Index ETF (Ticker: KWIN) on the New York Stock Exchange. KWIN is an alternative income ETF sub-advised by Wahed Invest LLC.

KWIN is designed for investors seeking option income or alternatives to earning traditional interest.

KWIN will take long equity positions while simultaneously selling a call and buying a put for each long position. The option strategy is designed to provide a delta-neutral outcome*, meaning it is not sensitive to the direction of the underlying stock’s price. The option income is generated through the difference between the amount received for the call option and the price paid for the put option.

KWIN reinvests this option income back into the fund, which may reduce the frequency of taxable distributions.

“KWIN reflects our commitment to innovative option income solutions that leverage advanced capital markets strategies,” said Jonathan Shelon, CFA, COO at KraneShares. “We are proud to integrate Wahed’s global expertise and particular focus on the needs of Middle Eastern investors into KWIN, to provide an option income stream that we believe will resonate in today’s uncertain market environment.”

Wahed Invest LLC is an established leader in digital investment solutions serving a large global and Middle Eastern investor base. Wahed provides an internal screening process for all KWIN holdings, ensuring the fund’s equity selection consists exclusively of non-dividend-paying, U.S. securities, aligned with specific ethical guidelines.

“At Wahed, our mission is to empower investors with tools that align their financial goals with modern capital markets innovation,” said Mohsin Siddiqui, Chief Executive Officer of Wahed. “We are proud to partner with KraneShares to bring KWIN to market and provide our investors with an options-based alternative to traditional interest-bearing assets.”

*The Fund’s option strategy is designed to achieve a delta-neutral outcome, meaning that the overall portfolio is constructed so that small changes in the price of the underlying stocks have minimal impact on the Fund’s value. However, a delta-neutral position does not eliminate all risk. The Fund remains subject to other risks, including larger price movements, changes in volatility, time decay, and other market factors. Investors may still experience losses, and there is no guarantee that the strategy will be successful in maintaining a delta-neutral position or in achieving its investment objectives.
