Carbon Reset: Where Allowance Markets Go From Here Wednesday, April 6, 2022 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT
Global carbon allowances saw unmatched returns in 2021. However, recent weeks have brought a round of fresh volatility to the market. A confluence of drivers led to this so-called “carbon crunch". So what's next? The uncertainty with the Russian invasion, increasing focus on energy security, and the reaffirmation of climate policy commitments, even in the face of geopolitical concerns, are all factors that are influencing the market.
Join Luke Oliver, KraneShares Head of Climate Investments, and Lawson Steele, a preeminent expert on the European Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) and former Joint Head of Carbon and Utilities Research at Berenberg, as they delve deeper into these recent developments.
In the webinar, we will cover:
- Opportunites from the carbon reset: fundamental or temporary blip?
- Deep dive on European & North American carbon markets
- Outlook for the coming months
- What do the high costs for coal and gas mean for carbon pricing?
- Is now a good entry point for investors looking to access the global carbon markets?
- Comprehensive Q&A
Investors can submit questions ahead of time to [email protected].
