KraneShares AI ETF AGIX Invests in General Intuition, the Frontier Lab Training Physical AI on Video Games
By KraneShares
New York, NY — October 29th, 2026 - KraneShares today announced that the KraneShares Public-Private AI & Technology ETF (Ticker: AGIX) has invested in private AI research lab General Intuition US Inc., joining its existing direct capitalization table private investments in Anthropic, Nuro, Apptronik, Ayar Labs, Standard Bots, and Polymarket. AGIX launched in July of 2024 and was one of the first AI-focused ETFs with a public-private structure.1 AGIX's first private investment was directly on Anthropic's capitalization table in February of 2025 at a $61.5 billion valuation.1
AGIX has invested directly in General Intuition, a frontier AI lab building a new class of foundation models trained with video game footage. Every day, millions of gamers make split-second decisions as they navigate, dodge, and react in 3D worlds, creating a vast record of human reflex data that can be more cost-effective to collect than data gathered through interactions in the physical world. General Intuition's thesis is that the skills learned from that data are the same ones robots and autonomous systems need in the real world. Using these gameplay clips, the company has developed two complementary model families: action models, which decide what action to take given an agent's observations, and world models, which predict how an environment will change in response to an action.2
"AGIX's investment in General Intuition reflects our conviction that the path from pixels to actions runs through game play, and we remain focused on expanding our pipeline of private innovators in AGIX at these inflection points," said James Maund, KraneShares Head of Capital Markets and Portfolio Manager of AGIX.
"General Intuition gives AGIX shareholders access to one of the most differentiated private AI labs in the market at a moment when the frontier is shifting from models that read and write to models that perceive and act," said Max Chen, Partner at Worldline Capital*. "Every frontier model to date has been trained on what humans wrote. General Intuition is training on what humans do, especially the split-second reactions video game players make without conscious thought, at a scale that no robotics lab could collect on its own."
"We believe action-labeled data, footage paired with the exact inputs a person made at each moment, is the scarcest input in physical AI, and video games are the only place it exists at consumer scale," said Derek Yan, CFA, Senior Investment Strategist at KraneShares. "The same model that plays a game for 100 hours can be adapted to a robot in minutes, and that single pre-training investment can serve game studios, simulation companies, and robotics developers alike."
AGIX joins existing investors Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst, as well as investors such as Valor Equity Partners, Atreides Management, Seven Seven Six, and Point72.3,4 Valor Equity Partners is the Chicago-based growth investment firm founded by Antonio Gracias, one of the earliest institutional investors in Tesla and a long-standing SpaceX board member and shareholder.5,6
